A couple months ago now, Bear destroyed Mom's finger on a walk... she recently had surgery to fix it just before the 6 week mark and now looks something like this:

Who knew there was terror behind those big brown eyes??

Even cuter is that Nate made dinner for Mom and some other ladies on Monday- homemade tortilla soup.  awww!  At least I had some usable influence on him... maybe
