After a lovely time in Paris with Scott and Laura, we jumped on an over night train to the Alps. We slept like babies and had to be woken up by a non English speaking conductor. Whoops. 

A couple steps in wrong directions before we could get our bearings straight. 

But then we were off! Here come 100 miles of mountain walking!

So much to see along the way! Oh how the scenery and towns change over a matter of a day's hike!

 After several hours, we made it to what would be home for the night: Nant Borrant. Lovely place.

We didn't know it but there's an ultra race going on right now. We cheered them on through the afternoon and evening. Amazing athletes. They're running what we are walking. I can't imagine.

After a 10 hour bus ride (why I ever thought that'd be a good idea...), I finally made it to Paris and met up with Elizabeth again. We walked the city and finally found Scotty! We got a nice tour of Paris complete with delicious food thanks to Scott and Laura. What a lovely time!

to asia

Well, a last minute offer to go to Asia turned into a whirlwind... 

With a backpack, passport brought by Mom, business suit shipped to Seattle, and no known plan, I jetsetted to Singapore straight from a great few days with Lindsey and Erin in Seattle.

 Such is the life in a 5 star hotel... I hardly left for a whole day in preparation for the crazy next few days to come. 

In Singapore, Bailey and I checked out the aquarium and Universal studios. 

Then it was off to Jakarta for a couple days. I never thought I'd be back there... how things change!

Being there brought back such fond memories of the sites, smells, and people from last summer. Such things I'll never forget.

 We watched movies in Jakarta's best movie theaters. (Big comfy chairs, caramel corn, 3D all for a couple bucks)

and lots of Adventure Time

 We went back to Taman Safari to catch up with some animal friends.

Then, off to Bangkok!

The next couple days were spent with a dear friend from riding days, Ler who I hadn't seen in years. We had such a great time!

Then it was the long journey home again.

Although the trip was cut short for the last minute Asia excursion, the few days I got to spend with these girls were unforgettable. Can't wait to be reunited once again. I LOVE Y'ALL!

After many months apart, the GGG reunited in Seattle and gave a shot at another tramping adventure. An adventure indeed.
