After a 10 hour bus ride (why I ever thought that'd be a good idea...), I finally made it to Paris and met up with Elizabeth again. We walked the city and finally found Scotty! We got a nice tour of Paris complete with delicious food thanks to Scott and Laura. What a lovely time!

Well, a last minute offer to go to Asia turned into a whirlwind... 

With a backpack, passport brought by Mom, business suit shipped to Seattle, and no known plan, I jetsetted to Singapore straight from a great few days with Lindsey and Erin in Seattle.

 Such is the life in a 5 star hotel... I hardly left for a whole day in preparation for the crazy next few days to come. 

In Singapore, Bailey and I checked out the aquarium and Universal studios. 

Then it was off to Jakarta for a couple days. I never thought I'd be back there... how things change!

Being there brought back such fond memories of the sites, smells, and people from last summer. Such things I'll never forget.

 We watched movies in Jakarta's best movie theaters. (Big comfy chairs, caramel corn, 3D all for a couple bucks)

and lots of Adventure Time

 We went back to Taman Safari to catch up with some animal friends.

Then, off to Bangkok!

The next couple days were spent with a dear friend from riding days, Ler who I hadn't seen in years. We had such a great time!

Although the trip was cut short for the last minute Asia excursion, the few days I got to spend with these girls were unforgettable. Can't wait to be reunited once again. I LOVE Y'ALL!

GGG tramping circus part II

After many months apart, the GGG reunited in Seattle and gave a shot at another tramping adventure. An adventure indeed.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! 

my cinco de drinko began circa 11:30 am with Marietta's favorite Viva Mexico following the infamous Kentucky Derby party thrown by the Hatcher's (that included us couple of girls surrounded by parents and didn't go without some debauchery on all accounts).

 Mexican brunch was followed by a lovely driving tour of Marietta - where so many stories have taken place and so many of my favorite people are from. We went from "this is where I had my first beer" to running through their high school halls to "this is where ____ got in a fight with ____." It was so nice to finally see the places I've always heard about!

 Then a drive back to Athens for some continued celebrations. Tlaloc: Athen's best Mexican joint. They had bands and raffles and we stuffed ourselves with delicious food and an array of hot sauces, and Chris even brought his own tequila.
